Originally founded in 2012, Moco Shirts Signs & Embroidery started in the den of partner Tim Dolan’s house.  What began as a simple hobby, Tim cut vinyl for signs and banners.  By 2013 he had went into the apparel industry.  After cluttering the house up, Tim and his wife Tonya decided to open a “brick and mortar” store in March 2014 in the little town of Union, West Virginia.

The storefront began to fill the need in the local area for signs and banners, and the Dolan family partnered with a screenprinting company in North Carolina to provide their customers screenprinting as options for apparel.  By summer 2014 the screenprinting company in North Carolina had went out of business and left the Dolan’s with a void in their business plan.

Tim’s brother Jamie entered the business in the summer of 2014 as Tim’s partner and they purchased the equipment from the now closed North Carolina screenprinting business and began making screenprinted t-shirts and hoodies.  Although neither one of them knew anything about screenprinting, one thing was sure there was a need for this business in the local area and the business continued to grow.

In the spring of 2016 the Dolan’s were approached with another business opportunity.  Monroe County was small, and while there were a few other folks making shirts in their spare time out of their homes, there was one other business in the county located in Peterstown named Wedgee’s.  The Dolan’s purchased all of the equipment from Wedgee’s in the summer of 2016 adding on Digital printing with a Roland Versacam 540i and embroidery now in house.  The brother’s decided to move all of this equipment to a new location in Princeton, West Virginia, and opened that store in October of 2016.

Offering in house embroidery, vinyl cut decals, signs, digitally printed signs and banners, and screenprinted garments, Moco Shirts Signs & Embroidery truly is a one stop shop for all of your personalization needs.  The company now employs 4 full time employees with part time employees during peak times and supplies garments for over 10 local schools and hundreds of other customers throughout the year.
